    Report a sighting

    If you have seen wild canids or striped hyenas in India after 1 January 2019, report your sighting below. Your submissions can help build the data-base on wild canids and hyenas, and contribute towards their research and conservation.

    Click on the (?) next to the questions for detailed instructions. Include sightings/records only from 1 January 2015 onwards.
    Do not include indirect evidence (tracks/scats).
     
    ​2. LOCATION *
    Provide name of State, District, Tehsil/Taluk and village name (if possible) under "Location Name". You can also find the exact latitude/longitude on ​Google Maps (open Google Maps, right click on the exact location and select "What's here?". Left click on the Latitude-Longitude, copy location from search tab and paste it here). 
    Enter only month/year format. e.g. For Sept. 2016, enter "09/2016"
    Enter the number of individuals in the pack/group in this sighting/record.
    Provide any other information about this particular sighting/record in as much detail as possible.
